What is the Digital Arts Lab?

The Digital Arts Lab is YOUR place for digital art creation, information and education.

Elizabeth Martinez (Library Director of Salinas Public Library) first introduced the idea of creating a Digital Arts Lab to the Salinas City Council November 11, 2007. Funding for the Digital Arts Lab came through the Rally Salinas fund, as part of the interior renovation of the John Steinbeck Library. The Irvine Foundation also donated $25,000 to purchase computers and equipment for the lab.

The Digital Arts Lab Team would like to recognize the people who participated in Rally Salinas, Elizabeth Martinez and the Irvine Foundation for making the Digital Arts Lab a reality. Thank You!
